HDFC expands donation facility,Golden temple in fold

Expanding its religious donation online facility, the country's second largest private sector lender HDFC Bank has brought the Golden Temple of Amritsar in its fold and plans to have more such tie-ups during the year.
 
"Devotees of Golden Temple who were unable to make a trip to Amritsar for any reason, can now have the satisfaction of instantaneously getting their donations reach Golden Temple through a user friendly secure website feature of the bank," HDFC Bank Country Head-Operations A Rajan told PTI.

The bank currently facilitates transfer of donations to 37 places of worship for different religions and talks are on to bring more into the fold, he said.
