CPM brigade brings Kolkata to complete halt

The CPM party has organized a brigade today to protest against the central government’s failure to tackle the growing problem of price hike and also against political warfare. CPM supports and workers from various districts have been coming in to the city since last night. They led processions from Howrah, Sealdah and Dharmatala, bringing traffic to a virtual stand still. Several CPM leaders including veteran politburo member Biman Bose attended the meet. The number of buses and other vehicles plying on roads has been limited, causing great distress and inconvenience to common people.
