Mamata, Sonia inaugurate 19 new trains in Kanpur
2010-02-07 [14:31:22 hrs] | | Adding another feather to her cap, Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee today presented Uttar Pradesh and the nation with nineteen new trains. The trains including the Delhi-Kanpur Satabdi Express were inaugurated by Mamata Banerjee and Congress chief Sonia Gandhi in Kanpur.
Large crowds gathered at the Kanpur Rail Stadium at around 12:30 pm to attend the inauguration ceremony. The event was also attended by several political leaders including E Ahmed, Arun Shourie, Prakash Jaiswal, R H Muniappa, Rajaram Pal, Rabindra Patni, Satish Mahana and Murli Manohar Joshi among others.
